Mothership RPG Core Set

The box is heavier than I expected, but that’s because every rulebook and the starter module are packed in tight—plus the dice set is a nice touch. I cracked open the module last night and the tone is genuinely unsettling, exactly what I wanted from a first-edition horror RPG.

I’ve been reading through the core rulebooks and they’re just as detailed and creepy as I’d hoped, and the included introductory module made jumping into a session incredibly easy. The extra set of dice felt like a nice bonus too.

I was really impressed that this box has all the 1e core rulebooks plus an introductory module, so I could start a campaign right away. The included dice set feels solid and the rulebooks are laid out clearly. It’s a hefty package that made me feel like I got my money’s worth.
