Your Friend in Witchcraft RPG

The letter-writing mechanic is so clever and immersive, it really made me feel like I was a witch sharing secrets with a friend. I loved how the game built our story through those personal, handwritten notes.

I wasn't sure how the epistolary format would work in practice, but writing letters back and forth really did make the story about witches learning feel personal. The rules are simple enough to pick up fast, though I wish there were a few more scenario prompts included.

The two-player letter exchange is such a unique way to build a story, really makes you feel like you're corresponding with a fellow witch. It took me a little while to get into the rhythm of writing actual letters, but once we did, the narrative unfolded in a surprisingly natural way.
