A Land Once Magic RPG

Infinite Worlds in Your Pocket

A Land Once Magic is a conversational post-fantasy worldbuilding RPG by award-winning game designer Viditya Voleti and published by moreblueberries.

Format

The print edition is a beautifully crafted A6 open-spine book.

What is a post-fantasy world?

A world of molten metal where society exists only on airships fueled by elemental blood.

A world of wandering titans that leave warring ecosystems in their wake.

A world where a theocratic regime rules a frozen sea with spellcraft stolen from unborn gods.

A world that shakes off the dull colors of traditional fantasy and invites the full spectrum of your imagination.

With a deck of cards and a group of friends, you will have everything you need to build a world unlike any you have seen before.

At a Glance

• Card-powered - All you need is the book and a deck of standard playing cards
• Pick-up-and-play - Play begins as soon as you open the book and start talking
• GM-less - All players collaboratively share narrative control over the world
• Replayability - No two games will be alike. Players begin with establishing a palette and choosing touchstones for the world. From there, a variety of prompts and tables help bring their world to life. What do you get when you combine a world that is “stormy, gold, and jagged” with Legally Blonde and Hellboy as touchstones?
• For Fans of - Games like i’m sorry did you say street magic? and The Quiet Year
