The head-to-head mode is surprisingly tense, and the decision to use your opponent’s cards against them really makes every round a brain-burner. I’ve played about six games in a row with my partner, and it’s already a favorite.

The way you have to pivot between using your own hand and reading your opponent’s cards mid-round makes every trick feel like a chess match. Even after a dozen plays, the team mode keeps revealing new layers of bluffing and timing.

Finally got my group into Kitsu and the team variant is a blast — we kept arguing over who was playing which card from whose hand. Really makes you think three moves ahead when you’re controlling your opponent’s tricks.
