RA and Write

The flip-and-write mechanism really captures the tension of the original, and the new art style makes the tiles pop on the table. Played three rounds back-to-back, and each one felt tight and strategic.

Picked this up after loving the original RA, and the flip-and-write mechanic works perfectly for solo play. The scoring tokens feel satisfying to mark off, and the art keeps that classic Egyptian vibe.

Knizia's auction tension translates okay to the flip-and-write format, but the iconography takes a few rounds to parse without the box open. I like that the art matches the original RA edition, though the luck of the tile draws felt more swingy than strategic for my group.
