The three new guests add so much more replayability to our game nights, and my group loves arguing over which activity fits each character best. The guest cards themselves have clever little abilities that shake up the usual strategy. It's a small expansion that made a big difference for us.

The three guest cards are a nice idea, and the birthday party theme fits well with the base game. But the expansion feels a bit thin for the price, and there's no real variety in the activities they're competing for. It's okay if you're a completionist, but I wouldn't call it essential.
