Category: Board Games

A light-hearted game for 3-4 players about responding to tragic events. Thoughts and Prayers are worth nothing. What's really important is winning the Hearts and Minds. Except when it isn't.

Hearts and Minds is a trick taking game, where each round players will choose their scoring conditions by selecting a Goal card from their hand. Each can be used only once in the game and may have rules that change how the player must play that hand.

This can definitely be a game of selecting your least-worst option.

Ella X. ★★★★★

The satirical take on tragedy in a game is surprisingly well-balanced, making it fun without feeling too dark. I love that "thoughts and prayers" are literally worthless in the scoring, which forces real strategy. Our group couldn't stop laughing as we tried to win the hearts and minds.

Picked this up for a game night and the dark humor really landed with our group — the mechanic where thoughts and prayers are literally worthless had us laughing while we schemed. Setup was quick too, maybe five minutes.
