Category: Board Games

You’ve landed a spot on the line at one of the best ramen shops in the world — at least to the locals. But, there’s a catch: you’ve agreed with your fellow line cooks that whoever serves the most (and the best) Bowls of ramen gets to walk away with all of the day’s tips. So, fire up the noodle boilers and get to work on crafting the most delicious ramen possible — and engage in a bit of soup-subversion while you’re at it!

On each turn, players add ingredients to the ramen bowls waiting to be served, trying to build the highest point count before serving, while trying to avoid giving their opponent an opportunity to steal the points!

The ingredient cards are what make this one shine — you're grabbing noodles and toppings as fast as you can before someone else does. Played it with four people and we were yelling over the last bowl of broth. Genuinely tense for a game about soup.

The scoring track makes it weirdly tense for a game about noodles — my group got genuinely competitive by round three. Turns out "serving the most customers" is way harder than it sounds when everyone keeps stealing your ingredients. We've played it five times in two weeks.

Gameplay moves fast once everyone knows the rules, and the line cook scoring adds a nice bit of pressure. Took us a round or two to get the ramen assembly down, but it clicked after that. Only wish there were more recipe cards in the box.
