In Seasons of Rice, Corry Damey’s 18-card tribute to his Cambodian heritage, players are farmers puzzling together field cards to expand their family’s “landscape” of rice paddies and ensure the most bountiful of harvests.

Players will be drafting cards and placing them into their expanding landscape area to close off paddies in order to score the most points by the end of the game.

Seasons of Rice was the co-winner of the GenCant 2018 Design Contest. Along with Tussie Mussie, Seasons of Rice left a mark on the judges and many that have played the PNP since.

Natalie ★★★★★

Fits in my coat pocket so I can play it on lunch breaks, and the way the field cards chain together for rice paddies is genuinely clever. Simple to teach but I keep finding new strategies after a dozen games.

Alexander ★★★★★

The field-card puzzle of expanding rice paddies in 18 cards feels surprisingly deep for such a tiny box, and it’s become our go-to for quick evening games. I love how the landscape shifts every round, keeping the strategy fresh.

Ellie ★★★★★

I was really impressed with how the 18-card deck packs so much strategic depth into such a small box, perfect for quick solo games. The tile-laying puzzle of expanding your rice paddies feels genuinely tense and rewarding each time.
