Arkham Horror RPG: Core Rule Book

The dice mechanics are surprisingly smooth for a 20s setting, and the flavor text for Arkham’s locations pulls you right into the eerie vibe. I’ve already run two sessions and the investigators’ sanity tracking adds a tense layer without slowing things down.

The investigation mechanics for uncovering clues feel really intuitive and kept our group moving through the mystery. The Roaring 20s setting is perfectly captured in the flavor text and art.

I was a bit skeptical about a new RPG system, but the character creation process is surprisingly smooth and ties perfectly into the 1920s setting. The only thing that could be better is a few more pre-written scenarios to jump into right away.
