The "weird ecology" premise really comes through when you're playing—each of us picked a different species and the card combos made our little world feel genuinely alive before it fell apart. Played with four people and the storytelling got surprisingly deep, even for a card game.

I was skeptical about the card-based storytelling at first, but the eco-fantasy theme really draws you in—my group spent an hour just tweaking our species' survival strategies. The deck feels balanced, with each card offering meaningful choices that shape our weird little ecology.

Playing as an entire species instead of a single character is a cool twist, though the rules for how our species evolve together took a couple of reads to click. Once we got the hang of it, the collaborative storytelling really shined.
