My first playthrough took nearly three hours, but the exploration phase kept everyone engaged without any downtime. The way technologies unlock new buildings and units really makes each decision feel weighty.

The tech tree actually feels meaningful—every research choice pushes your civilization in a different direction, and watching your empire grow from a single settlement into a global power is deeply satisfying. I've already played three sessions this week and the exploration phase still surprises me.

The rulebook is clear and the exploration phase is genuinely engaging, though I wish the game included more player interaction. Setup takes a bit longer than I'd like, but the tech tree is well-designed and offers meaningful choices each time.
