The ember zombie swarm makes every round feel urgent—I kept scrambling to block their volcanic path before the fire fairies spread. Setup was quick, and the tension held through all four games we played in one sitting.

The fire fairy hive mechanic is such a clever twist on zombie hordes—it genuinely changes how you plan every turn. My group has already pulled it out three nights in a row, and the tension of those ember zombies pressing toward Eastr never gets old.

The setup is really creative—zombies made of charcoal with fire fairies inside? That alone makes me want to play. I just wish the rulebook had a clearer explanation of how the swarming mechanic works; we spent the first 20 minutes guessing.
