The two-player setup is quick to teach, and figuring out how to bend that straight-loop canal feels more strategic each round. My partner and I have already played three games in an evening, and it’s surprisingly tense for such a compact box.

The loop mechanic is such a clever twist on tile-laying—my partner and I played three rounds back to back without realizing the time. Sixteen tiles is just enough to keep the puzzle tight without dragging.

The 16 identical tiles make setup super quick, though I wish there were a few more for variety in the long run. Still, the two-player canal loop puzzle has surprising depth for such a simple concept, and we've already played it five times this week.
