The wooden components and player boards have a satisfying weight, and setting up my first trade network really captured that Meiji-era feel. I’ve already played three times this week, and each match feels completely different.

The way the trade routes and resource management build on each other feels incredibly satisfying. I've played three times already and the Meiji-era theme really comes through in the mechanics.

The map and tile layouts really shine once you get into the Meiji-era trading theme, and setup is faster than I expected for a game this deep. Only minor gripe is the rulebook could be clearer on scoring, but we had it figured out by round two.
