We played this three times in a row last Halloween party, and the tension really ramps up once you realize which monster's been hiding the longest. The way the scary factor flips based on how long a creature stays hidden keeps everyone second-guessing their moves. My only complaint is that it's hard

The mechanic where the monster that hides the longest becomes the most powerful is genius—it keeps everyone on edge until the very end. We’ve had to play three rounds in a row because no one wanted to stop.

We’ve been playing Fright Factor every game night now—love how the monsters actually get scarier the longer they hide. The “lurking” mechanic really makes you tense up as the game goes on. Definitely a hit for horror fans who want some strategy with their scares.
