Twisted Cryptids

The rulebook explains the unique victory conditions for each Cryptid so clearly that my group picked it up in under five minutes, and the bluffing mechanic keeps everyone engaged until the very last turn.

The asymmetric player powers really shine once you get a few rounds in, and the card art is delightfully weird. My group had a blast trying to out-bluff each other while secretly wanting to befriend the humans.

The love-hate human mechanic is what got me—you're constantly balancing between wanting their attention and wanting to scare them off. Easy to teach but there's real strategy in how you position your Cryptid on the map. Played three rounds back to back and nobody wanted to stop.
