Customer Reviews (4.7 / 5 · 3 reviews)

Emily ★★★★★

I was worried the new characters might feel tacked-on, but the Dowager's manor theme is actually woven in really well. The odd refugees on the cards give each game a fresh, quirky story that keeps me coming back.

Elizabeth ★★★★★

These character cards really add a new layer to the game, and I love how the odd backstories on each one make the Dowager's estate feel more alive. It’s a small expansion but it changes the dynamic of the game noticeably.

Richard P. ★★★★☆

The character descriptions are wonderfully quirky, though the rules for their special abilities took me a couple reads to get straight. Once we started playing, the new strategies they unlock really freshen up the game. Solid expansion if you're looking for more variety.
