We played this for the first time last night and the "raise the buildings" mechanic is genuinely clever—it makes every decision feel tense. The components are sturdy and the historical theme really comes through.

The concept is interesting, but the rulebook is a bit confusing to get through, and we spent the first game just figuring out the building-raising mechanics. It’s fun once you get the hang of it, though the setup feels a little long for what it is.
