The pre-order wait was worth it—leading my own learned society through expeditions feels like stepping into a 1920s adventure novel, and the gameplay loop of managing my team of explorers is oddly addictive. I’ve already sunk five evenings into it without noticing the time fly by.

The expedition planning has great depth, and I really appreciate how the crew's unique skills affect each dig site. My only small wish is for a bit more variety in the early artifacts.

I enjoy the strategic depth of organizing expeditions and managing the society's resources, though the rulebook could be a bit clearer on scoring. The setting really captures that early 20th century explorer vibe perfectly.
